Martyn is an experienced Chair, Non-Executive Director, and Independent Board Adviser.

His informal style, strategic focus, analytical approach, natural curiosity, willingness to question and ability to simplify complexity makes him an ideal choice for serving on Boards.

He has a proven talent for supporting and helping others utilize their strengths on the Boards and Management teams he serves, and his excellent knowledge of Governance is a valuable asset for any Board.

He currently chairs the Boards of a Multi-Academy Trust, a long-established engineering business and his family property company. He is also the Regional Chair of the Institute of Directors. 

Martyn has previously held the position as Chair  of a local charity, an accountancy business, the leading sub-committee of the Royal Society of Chemistry and been Chair of Governors at a Primary School.

He currently serves on the Board of the Local Enterprise Partnership and has previously been a Non-Executive Director of Lancashire Youth Clubs Association.
