Martyn is an experienced Chair, Non-Executive Director, and Independent Board Adviser.

His informal style, strategic focus, analytical approach, natural curiosity, willingness to question and ability to simplify complexity makes him an ideal choice for serving on Boards.

He has a proven talent for supporting and helping others utilize their strengths on the Boards and Management teams he serves, and his excellent knowledge of good Governance practice is a valuable asset for any Board.

He currently chairs the Boards of a Multi-Academy Trust, a long-established professional services business and his family property company. He is also the Regional Chair of the Institute of Directors. 

Martyn also currently serves on the Business Support Board of the Local Enterprise Partnership, is Director of Business and Academies for the Lancashire Creative Commonwealth Association and has previously been a Non-Executive Director of Lancashire Youth Clubs Association.
